We are not always aware of the equipment and SYSTEMS that are among us during work and family life, and in our free time, and how much they make our lives simpler and safer.
THE “SYSTEMS” PRODUCTION CHAIN
The SYSTEMS production chain is wide-ranging and articulate. Made up of countless different products which we use frequently and, quite often, unknowingly.
Just to name a few: electrical systems, lifts, pressurised systems, lifting systems.
Countless systems which must be checked, as well as maintained, to guarantee safety and to ensure that everything is working correctly and that they do not cause risks for the users.
For almost a century, the state has issued laws for the safety and verification of these systems, laws that have evolved over the years to keep up with the development in technology connected to the systems themselves. In the last years, the periodical checks which first were carried out by state organisations have been delegated to private control organisations. And starting ten years ago, periodical checks of elevators and earthing systems of electrical systems, followed last year by checks of lifting systems and pressurised systems, have been delegated to control organisations qualified by the appropriate Ministries.
THE AGENTS OF THE PRODUCTION CHAIN
The SYSTEMS production chain is made up of a value chain which includes different agents: the system component manufacturers and the system manufacturers; the machine manufacturers; the designers, installers, and maintenance operators.
ICIM’S PROPOSAL FOR AGENTS OF THE PRODUCTION CHAIN
ICIM has always been attentive of safety issues, and operates as an organisation enabled by the various appropriate Ministries.
It proposes its services for all production chain agents as a highly professional and specialised reference for different periodical checks for any system type or feature.
